#welovemamaearth
Please enjoy our Earth Day video...
We had a BUSINESS MEETING today, ya'll!!
We invited Dr. Moehlann and our cafeteria friends Ms. Terry and Ms. Judy in to watch our video and propose some changes in our cafeteria.
We also shared this with the teachers to show all other classes.
We also shared this with the teachers to show all other classes.
We asked for change in three areas...
1. no more straws OR reusable straws
2. no more disposable trays (they are only used on pizza days and Lucky Tray days).
Ask you kiddo about our solution for Lucky Tray day!
3. school purchased Concord reusable water bottles! Think cute swag!!
We were heard and look forward to pricing water bottles for Dr. Moehlmann, and hearing back from our cafeteria friends on our other two action items!!
IT FELT SO GOOD TO BE PART OF CHANGE FOR GOOD!!!

AWESOME Ability Awareness
Today we had the total gift of listening to Holly Connor tell her story. Holly is both blind and autistic, and is a BRILLIANT musician! Her story was incredibly inspiring, and really touched our hearts!! Click on the link to read a little bit more about Holly...
Here is some of what she shared with us today...
After listening to Holly, we attended sessions to continue to
learn about the abilities of each of us and others.
Check this out...
Our school OT let us experiment with different adaptive tools that
people can use to help with daily tasks.
We listened to Concord 5th grader, Ryan, tell us his story.
He has Cerebral Palsy, and shared how that impacts his life.
